The Challenge

We feel that the current website, while designed well, can be improved. There is no noticeable call-to-action, the hierarchy is incorrect, and the design seems busy.

The Solution

To create a better design, we utilized a better hierarchical structure, simplified the design by simplifying the color, and used elements related to the business (ferns). To simplify the design even more, we created a simple wordmark logotype.

The design of the website includes some distracting art placed directly behind the text, the logo is too large and takes too much attention from the website, the menu items are in the wrong order, and upon entry to the website, there is no wording about what the website is for.

We Simplified the design by incorporating an image of a fern in its natural environment and used a hierarchical structure to guide a visitor’s eyes from heading to the call-to-action (“Contact Us”). We achieved this by creating a simple logo so as to not take too much attention. We also corrected the order of the menu items and added wording in the main heading related to mental health.
